Rohnert Park Services specializes in assisting people to resolve behavioral issues within the context of community work and participation. Services to attain this goal consist of two components:

Les is part of the RPS workforce that cleans the city parks in Rohnert Park.

The work component utilizes community-based worksites in Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa, which includes ten city parks, the Community Center, Buchanan Food Services, and Marquard Gardens. The type and amount varies depending on the identified needs of the individual. On the job training emphasizes skill development, work quality, job specific body mechanics, use of tools and equipment, in addition to work-related competencies (worker-consumer economic cycle, banking, public transportation).

The socialization/communication component, also provided within the context of the community, involves the acquisition of skills to replace those behavioral barriers impeding employment in a less restrictive setting. These services include development of problem solving skills, anger management, self-statement training, relaxation skills, assertiveness, and cooperation training.
